What better place is there to spend Halloween than in Historic Boston or it’s neighboring “Witch capital,” Salem?
Here are just a few of the spooky happenings to get your haunt on!
First, Salem offers a firework show at dusk. Most of the shops will close and the city all walks together to “the bridge” to watch the show. Follow the locals to catch this beautiful display!
Looking for an authentic Samhain experience? Salem’s Temple of nine Wells and the witches of Salem have their historic Samhain ceremony. All are welcome to attend but are asked to please treat the ceremony respectfully.
The Salem Psychic Fair and Witches is a great place to shop for souvenirs or get a reading from an authentic licensed psychic or witch! Personally, I recommended Omen’s incredibly talented psychic Shalimar if you can manage an appointment. She’s read for many celebrities and tends to fill up very quickly!
Are you interested in learning a bit about Moon Magick? Maybe try your hand at a Tarot card reading? Check out Moon Witch for an evening of witchcraft and mystery.
Looking for something a little more tame but with tasty local cider? Far from the Tree cider has an outdoor screening of Hocus Pocus!
On the Boston side:
Looking for a more traditional costume bash? Look no longer, Garage Boston Will offer a battle of local DJs and a cash prize costume contest.
Are you more interested in the fine arts? How about a night with at the Symphony hall Boston? Show is at 8pm tonight. Tickets are available at bso.org
