Upping Your Game: How Agents Can Use Video to Demonstrate Their Unique Value

Today’s consumers are inundated with information. In order for an agent to truly stand out, it’s important to showcase their unique value, as well as their expertise as the go-to local neighborhood expert. In fact, a recent realtor.com® study found that 97% of consumers feel like it’s important for their agent to be a local market expert, with 25% saying that local market expertise is the most important trait of all!

An easy and inexpensive way for agents to connect more personally with their leads and to share their unique value is through video. Here are a few ideas on ways to create positive video content that can resonate with potential buyers:

  • Make an introduction video: Introduce yourself and speak directly to what makes you different from other agents. Don’t forget that local market expertise!
  • Go live on Facebook or Instagram: Leverage the power of live video to provide a brief analysis of the local market. You can even engage in a live Q&A with your viewers.
  • Host an interview: Consider sitting down with past clients, a local influencer, the neighborhood coffee shop owner, etc. and show your leads you’re a neighborhood pro.
  • Highlight your listings: Whether it’s just listed or just sold, consider a video tour showcasing your listings (with seller permission of course!).

NAR research shows us that 85% of buyers and sellers say they would prefer to work with an agent who does video marketing. So it’s time to get started!
