Gay Cororaton presented the NAR/RLI Land Market Survey at the Commercial Real Estate Research Advisory Board meeting on November 1. Highlights from the survey show that residential land and recreational land were the top two types of land being sold last year. Year over year, from 2016 to 2017, residential land saw a 5% increase in sales price, the highest change for all land types. Commercial land and greenfield development land saw the next highest increases at 4%. Similarly, residential land and commercial land saw the highest change in sales volume at 5% and 4% respectively. The 2018 Land Market Survey is accepting responses as we speak – if you are involved in land transactions, please respond to the survey at www.rliland.com.
