Well, here we are kicking off this year’s REALTORS® Conference and Expo! NAR leadership and staff welcome the thousands of members arriving, specifically for the Governance Meetings at the NAR 360!
The session began with NAR Treasurer Tom Riley welcoming the REALTOR® family to Boston for an amazing annual conference.
As is the tradition, this kick-off session is the “drinking out of the fire hose” moment, as presented by our national leadership team, to provide a jump start on insight to what’s trending and important on the hot topics list for these meetings and this convention.
Included in the session was a check presentation from the REALTOR® Relief Run to the REALTOR® Relief Fund of $100,000! This incredible amount was made possible by the members, via generous contributions for the Relief Run and general donations. It’s not too late to contribute. Please visit the Expo to make a contribution during the conference.
The new NAR Commitment to Excellence Program (or C2EX) is launching at the Conference. The program will encourage our members to take a self-assessment and then provide the means to educate them and raise the bar on our professionalism across our industry in a consistent and calculated way.
We also got a glimpse into the new and forthcoming marketing messaging model. Truly a great new and fresh approach to the sharing of the consumer-facing REALTOR® message.
Finally, it’s worth mentioning (after 30 years of service to NAR) the retirement of our long-time Government Affairs Chief Lobbyist Gerry Giovanello. He has moved, protected, and elevated this association and our strong reputation in an amazing and calculated way during his tenure. Gerry will be missed, and his work and seed sowing will live on in perpetuity for years, if not decades yet to come.
