The Governance meetings in Boston all boil down to the Board of Directors & Delegate Body meetings. As always, the agenda is packed, as nearly 800 NAR Directors are seated to do the business of the National Association of REALTORS®.
For the last time, 2018 NAR President Elizabeth Mendenhall call a B.O.D. meeting to order. Followed by a a medley of songs by the REALTOR® Ensemble, the Pledge of Allegiance (led by T. David Rodgers of Summit, Missouri), and a wonderful inspiration (by Nina Dosanjh from San Francisco), the business began with the consent agenda approval, and then approval of bylaw changes for the CCIM Institute, IREM, REBI & RRC. Then some exciting presentations regarding the Governance game-changer PAG & CEO report.
Of course we remembered those former NAR directors that passed away since the May meetings, and recognized the Distinguished Service Award Recipients numbers 93 & 94, as well at the RPAC Year-to-Date report, as given by RPAC Fundraising Liaison Trey Bates. We are in great shape and need to finish the year strong. The 37% National Participation Goal is within reach!
All said, I think the most exciting thing is that of the new C2EX (Commitment to Excellence) Program. This should prove to be an amazing way to raise the bar of knowledge and professionalism in our organization. To learn morem, visit http://C2EX.REALTOR.
