Lots of new things to report from this year’s governance meetings:
• The creation of the Governance Game Changer Presidential Advisory Group (PAG), to look at NAR’s governance structure, will be a heavy task for this group. It will be interesting to hear the update at the Legislative Meetings in DC in May!
• The C2EX (Commitment to Excellence) program was launched on November 2. This program will evaluate our members’ REALTOR® knowledge and skills, and give them the resources and tools to increase their overall professionalism. Check it out!
• The State and Local Issues Mobilization Support Committee did monumental work on their internal guidelines to make this process and program better. As the annual budget line for these initiatives has far exceeded the $7 million mark annually, the program needed to be tweaked to enhance it.
• The RPAC Fundraising Trustees also moved and approved several motions to update the Major Investors and President’s Circle programs and their related benefits. 2018 goals are getting done and, in some cases, shattered. We are very close to having 100% RPAC participation on all of the NAR committees!
I feel that this set of meetings was highly productive, and that a lot of heavy lifting has been accomplished for the betterment of the association on all three levels – local, state, and national.
